Job Overview

UNHCR Uganda is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Project Officer to join our team in Kampala. The candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring community-based development and support projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate with local government bodies, NGOs, and partner agencies.
• Prepare detailed project reports, budgets, and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with international protection and assistance standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Project Management, International Relations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in project coordination or NGO sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
